A Place for You to Serve
It takes a community to keep our communities running! We rely on compassionate, volunteer-minded individuals to provide the quality and breadth of services our residents expect and appreciate. From helping transport Fernwood Place and Linden Place tenants as they complete errands and attend events to working in a support capacity in either building, Steinbach Housing has a number of volunteer opportunities available for students seeking experience, adults seeking interaction, and local people simply wanting to live out a calling of service.
Volunteer Opportunities
Drivers: for taking tenants to appointments in Steinbach and Winnipeg
Tray Carriers: for delivering food trays to apartments when tenants are ill
Floor Captains: for ensuring hallways, equipment, and everything else on a particular floor is safe, keeping bulletin boards tidy, and distributing notices to tenants as needed
Safety Checkers: for daily checks for the 9:30 a.m. “I’m Safe” cards
